Bauhaus desk

I designed a desk similar to this while obtaining my degree in Industrial Design and recently rebuilt it from scratch using SOLIDWORKS and 3DSMAX with VRAY5 to update the design.

I took inspiration from the BAUHAUS movement started in 1919 in Weimer, Germany by Walter Gropius, where one of the main principles is “Form follows function.”

Concept

The design is proposed to be fabricated in forescolor which is a color board developed to overcome the limitations of the normal Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF).

3D Rendering

The idea was to create a clean yet powerful and functional workpiece that enhances the space, creating a statement of simplicity and good taste.
